Quick answer

What does a build and deployment service include?

Build and deployment is the professional installation of IT hardware and network infrastructure on site. It covers racking and stacking, power and PDU connection, operating-system and firmware installation, structured data cabling, network configuration, testing and a documented handover.

DACPROS delivers builds in London data centres — Docklands, the City and the Slough/M4 corridor — and UK-wide, working to your change windows from our Hammersmith hub.

See it done: a two-rack cabinet build, a seven-cabinet migration to a new south London colocation and a live core cabinet rebuild.

What's included

Racked, cabled, tested, documented.

A deployment isn't finished until it's tested and recorded — so the next engineer inherits a rack they can actually work on.

Racking & stacking

Servers, switches and storage racked, levelled, powered and labelled.

OS & firmware install

Operating systems, firmware and images installed and verified.

Structured data cabling

Colour-coded, dressed-to-radius runs, labelled both ends.

Network configuration

Switching, patching and uplinks brought up and validated.

Test & certify

Every run and device tested and certified before sign-off.

Documented handover

Photographed handover pack and as-built records delivered.

Before we attend

What we need from you before deployment.

A build runs to plan when the plan exists before we arrive. Send us the following and we'll confirm scope, sequence and change window. Not sure what you have? Send what you've got and we'll tell you what's missing.

  • The kit and when it lands. Hardware list (model and quantity), delivery date and who receives it at the facility.
  • Site and access. Facility, hall and cabinet or U positions, plus any access, induction or ID requirements for our engineers.
  • Rack and cabling design. Rack elevations, a port map or cabling schedule, and your labelling convention if you have one. No design yet? Tell us and we will scope it.
  • Network and OS details. IP addressing, VLANs, switch configs, OS images and firmware versions.
  • Power. PDU type, connectors and the power available per cabinet.
  • Window and contacts. Your preferred change window, an escalation contact and who signs off at handover. A remote team is fine.

London & UK coverage

London-based, UK-wide.

Deployments across London and the UK

Our hub is in Hammersmith (W6), so build and deployment in London is our home turf — from the City of London, Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham to Canary Wharf, London Docklands (E14/E16) and the Slough/M4 data-centre corridor. We also deliver UK-wide from the same operation, with engineers nationwide.

Build & Deployment FAQ

Straight answers, no jargon.

What is a hardware build and deployment service?
It is the on-site installation of IT hardware and network infrastructure to a documented standard. Racking, stacking, OS and firmware installs, structured cabling, network configuration, testing and handover.
Do you install structured cabling?
Yes. We deliver colour-coded, dressed-to-radius cabling, labelled both ends and certified — see our structured cabling best-practice guide for the standard we hold.
Can you work to our change window?
Yes. We agree the sequence and your change window before we attend, and build to it. Out-of-hours attendance may be available when arranged in advance for planned work.
What do you need from us before a deployment?
The hardware list and delivery date, site and access details, your rack and cabling design, network and OS details, power, and your change window and contacts. See the checklist above. If you do not have all of it yet, send what you have and we will tell you what is missing.
Can I see examples of builds you have delivered?
Yes. Read how we built two racks in four days on site for a remote engineering team, moved seven cabinets and around 250 servers inside the client’s five-day window, and rebuilt four live core router cabinets one week at a time.
Do you provide as-built documentation?
Yes. Every build is tested, certified and handed over with a photographed pack and as-built records.
Do you provide build and deployment in London?
Yes — DACPROS is a London-based provider and build and deployment in London is a core part of what we do. From our Hammersmith hub (W6) we cover Greater London — the City, Westminster, Canary Wharf, London Docklands (E14/E16) and the Slough/M4 corridor — plus the wider UK.
